Just in time for the many visitors to Kentucky during racing season, the Governor’s Derby Exhibition of equine and spring-related artwork will be on display April 27 – May 10, 2010, in the Capitol Rotunda, Frankfort, Ky. The artists represented in the exhibit responded to an open call for artwork posted by the Kentucky Arts Council. Many of the pieces are available for purchase. The exhibit is part of the traditional Governor’s Derby Celebration, which will be on the state Capitol grounds from 8 a.m. to noon EDT Saturday, May 1, 2010, and is open to the public.
