Small Business Administration Kentucky small businesses and private non-profits are now eligible to apply for Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL) from the United States Small Business Administration (SBA). The SBA has made COVID-19 a qualifying event for EIDL for businesses and private non-profits. Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear applied for Kentucky’s designation which was recently approved.

To apply for the EIDL visit the SBA Disaster Loan Assistance website and create an account. On this page you can get familiar with the SBA’s three-step loan process and find a fact sheet you can reference during the application process.

Have additional questions about eligibility or the loan application process?

Kentucky Small Business Development Center (KSBDC) has created a COVID-19 Small Business Guide that includes a Checklist for Managing In Times of Financial Difficulty, Recommended Steps to Take, and FAQs about the SBA Economic Injury Disaster Assistance Loan. The Kentucky SBDC is available to assist you in this process.

Kentucky creative businesses and non-profits are encouraged to contact Vallorie Henderson at KSBDC-Berea at 859-221-2122 for assistance and more information.
