Creative Assets Inventory Workshops
Do you want to be involved in community-based projects in your area? Are you interested
in new ways to motivate individuals to focus on a common goal or strategies to build local
partners and share resources? Putting together an assets inventory is a valuable exercise
to build local support and identify what makes your place unique and appealing to residents
and visitors. Assets inventories are excellent documentation for communities wanting to pursue
grant funds, achieve local designations like Kentucky Trail Towns, or implement other creative
placemaking or economic development plans.
The Kentucky Arts Council will host free morning workshops for anyone interested in learning
about creative assets inventories. The workshops are in Ohio County and Owsley County but are
open to anyone interested in attending. In the afternoon, those counties’ residents will
start to make their own creative assets inventories. The more people who contribute to
the inventory, the more valuable and versatile it will be!
