Teaching Art Apart Program
What is it?
The Teaching Art Apart Program provides honorariums for professional teaching artists to create virtual learning content in their respective creative disciplines. This content can then be used by school teachers as supplemental classroom content or remote instruction in the arts. This program also gives school teachers the opportunity to sample content from teaching artists before applying for Teaching Art Together grants.
Who is eligible?
Any member in good standing of the Kentucky Arts Council's Teaching Artists Directory.
What is the deadline to apply?
Rolling Application Deadline: 1st of each month, December 2020 - April 2021
How do I apply?
- Carefully review the
guidelines.
- Adapt a sampling of your in-person teaching residency content for virtual learning (e.g., a series of videos, work packets, podcasts, etc.).
- Complete the application and submit your virtual learning content for review.
If I receive an honorarium, what are my responsibilities?
- The Kentucky Arts Council will send you an agreement form stating that you give the arts council permission to use and distribute the content you submitted for this program. This form must be signed and returned before payment will be processed.
- After your signed content release form is received by the arts council, you will be mailed a check for an amount as outlined in the program guidelines.
