Kentucky Crafted Program
What is it?
Kentucky Crafted is an adjudicated program that provides assistance to Kentucky visual and craft artists through marketing, promotional opportunities and arts business training. Adjudicated visual and craft artists are eligible to exhibit at the Kentucky Crafted Market and other events sponsored by the program.
Who's eligible?
Visual and craft artists who do original work in any medium, are full-time residents of Kentucky and are 18 years of age or older. Applicants should have a well-developed body of work and some marketing experience.
What's the deadline to apply?
Aug. 15, 2022, at 4:30 p.m. Eastern time.
Applications will be available June 2022
How do I apply?
- Carefully review the program guidelines.
- Prepare digital images of your work samples.
- Complete the online application.
If I am selected for the program, what are my responsibilities?
- Sign a program agreement form.
- Attend the Kentucky Crafted New Participant and Market Orientation.
- Submit images and an artist statement for the online directory.
- Complete an annual Creative Industry Report, which renews participation and provides up-to-date contact information
- Acknowledge the Kentucky Arts Council by using the Kentucky Crafted logo to promote your work. (How?)
- Inform your legislators of your inclusion in this program and follow up annually with invitations to events that feature your work. (Who are my elected officials?)
- Maintain professional business standards and practices at all times.
