The arts in Paducah have a friend in the staff of Paducah Life Magazine.

The bimonthly publication is well positioned to cover the arts in a city that is called Quilt City USA and is a designated UNESCO Creative City of Craft and Folk Art, one of seven in the world. The magazine helps weave the creative elements together in a city rich in art and culture.

Founded in 1990, Paducah Life has supported the arts in western Kentucky for more than 25 years. It has featured artists, galleries, exhibits and art projects in nearly every edition of Paducah’s city magazine.

“Paducah Life is more than a magazine,” said Paducah Mayor Gayle Kaler. “It is the medium that brings our creative vision into the homes of Paducah residents and unites the community behind artistic growth. That is particularly welcomed since we are a UNESCO City of Craft and Folk Art.”

“Reading any issue of PADUCAH LIFE Magazine is like reading a publication on the arts in Paducah, McCracken County, and the region of far western Kentucky,” said Mary Hammond, Paducah Convention & Visitors Bureau Executive Director. “The consistent articles in Paducah Life Magazine both expose and promote the work of local and regional artists. It is difficult to put a dollar value on the public awareness of the artwork and creative services so beautifully presented to the public through this feature publication. And since the magazine is distributed to subscribers around the country, it also aids in telling our story to a national audience as well.”
