Showcasing the Arts

The Illustrated Word

The Illustrated Word Exhibit

The Kentucky Arts Council presents “The Illustrated Word,” an exhibit that connects visual art and literature. The 29 artists in the exhibit represent 14 Kentucky counties. The artwork in the exhibit ranges from visual interpretations – both literal and metaphorical – of poetry and literature, to artwork that incorporates text as a design element.

“The Illustrated Word” will travel to libraries around Kentucky from February 2017 through December 2018, for the enjoyment of art and reading enthusiasts throughout the state.
