Showcasing the Arts

Made to be Played: Acknowledgments

In 2006 and 2007, the Kentucky Folklife Program began a survey of some of Kentucky’s master luthiers. Not every luthier could be included in this exhibit, but these artists represent a sampling of old and new traditions of musical-instrument building and repair.

Exhibit sponsors:

The National Endowment for the Arts, American Masterpieces
