Mingle and meet Silas House, former poets laureate including Richard Taylor, Joe Survant, Sena Jeter Naslund, Maureen Morehead, Frank X Walker, George Ella Lyon, Jeff Worley and Crystal Wilkinson and writers and readers from across the commonwealth.

Kentucky Writers’ Day celebrates the commonwealth’s strong literary tradition and the birthday of Robert Penn Warren of Guthrie, Kentucky, the first poet laureate of the United States and winner of three Pulitzer Prizes.

Kentucky Writers’ Day activities are free and open to the public.
