Rationale (Revised
06/30/2008)
The mission of the Kentucky Arts Council is to
create opportunities for the people of Kentucky to value, participate in and
benefit from the arts. Both grantees and artists selected to participate in
adjudicated programs have a contractual responsibility to work in partnership
with the Kentucky Arts Council in recognizing state funding and creating public
value for the arts.
Usage (Revised
06/30/2008)
The Kentucky Arts Council logo is required to be
used by artists, organizations, schools and other entities that receive grant
funds, monetary awards or have been accepted into the adjudicated programs of
the Kentucky Arts Council. Failure to comply will jeopardize future funding
from the Kentucky Arts Council.
The logo and prescribed credit
lines will be used on all printed materials including calendars, catalogs,
brochures, invitations and event programs; print and TV advertising; marketing
and promotional materials; newsletters (print and electronic), TV/Film program
credits, Web site home pages (with link to www.artscouncil.ky.gov), signs, posters,
billboards and banners.
Exemptions (Revised
06/30/2008)
Credit lines are exempt from postcards 5" x 7" or
less and print advertising less than 12 column inches; the logo is
not.
Logos are exempt from news releases; radio advertisements and
announcements; television, radio and newspaper interviews and curtain speeches.
Appropriate credit lines are required when artists, organizations, schools and
other entities that receive Arts Council funding use any of these communication
methods.
