Children's Ensemble
The Northern Kentucky Children’s Ensemble has been performing locally, regionally, state-wide and nationally since the program was established in 1993 through the Northern Kentucky University Music Preparatory Department. They have sung at home with Rosemary Clooney, in Frankfort for the inauguration of Governor Fletcher, across the river in Cincinnati for the Cincinnati Reds baseball team and as a part of the Taft Theatre’s Broadway series. In addition, the Ensemble has performed in Cincinnati at the Aranoff and the Music Hall, and from Disneyworld in Orlando, Fla., to New York, Toronto, San Antonio and beyond. The Ensemble consists of singers from around the northern Kentucky area and represents 32 schools from the tri-state region. They sing Broadway, pop, folk, spirituals, classics and opera and have premiered several new works by aspiring composers.
