County Line Bluegrass

The roots of bluegrass run deep in western Kentucky. County Line Bluegrass is a young band carrying on time-honored musical traditions. The band members grew up not far from the birthplace of bluegrass music, Rosine, Ky., the home of Bill Monroe. They pride themselves on paying tribute to the legends—Monroe, Flatt and Scruggs, Ralph Stanley, Del McCoury and Doyle Lawson - and have been known to cross over with favorites from Johnny Cash and Old Crow Medicine Show. County Line Bluegrass has performed at the Kentucky Governor’s Mansion, the Bill Monroe Jerusalem Ridge Festival and at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Mo. They recently debuted at the River of Music Party (ROMP), sponsored by the International Bluegrass Music Museum and Hall of Fame in Owensboro, Ky.

Band members are Miss Ramsey Carpenter on fiddle and clogging, J.B. Miller on guitar, Zeke Walters on banjo and Joey Brown on mandolin. J.B. and Zeke are graduates of the Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts. Other honors received by County Line Bluegrass include three-time Kentucky State Clogging Champion, two-time Kentucky State Banjo Champion and one-time Indiana State Banjo Champion. County Line Bluegrass looks forward to sharing with you their love of bluegrass music.
