The MetroGnomes
The MetroGnomes is a big band made up of professional and amateur performers from various walks of life who just love to play music. Since 2004 the band has performed jazz, jazz-rock, Latin and swing music in 12 to 15 concerts each year. Consisting of current and retired band directors and ministers, music and seminary students, lawyers, professors and educators, the band is led by Dough Oatley, a retired music educator and former bass trombone player for Stan Kenton. The MetroGnomes’ mission is “To perform music that is fun to play and fun to listen to.”
