Pamela Holcomb
Pam Holcomb was born and reared in the hills of southeastern Kentucky, sandwiched between the Pine and Black Mountains. Many of her fondest memories were of sitting at the feet of her parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles listening to them tell tales of old. She grew up with a rich heritage, full of traditional mountain tales and music.
Pam has brought her humorous mountain folklore, adventures and family Appalachian tales to life for audiences of all ages for more than 25 years.
Pam is, first and foremost, a mountain storyteller. She tells many of the old traditional tales, many from her own family and some she gathered from folks she met along the way. Since she has spent the majority of her life as a classroom teacher, she often draws upon those experiences to enrich her stories.Yet others are from stories collected for posterity's sake.
She has a burning desire to preserve her heritage and keep many of the stories of the mountain folks from being lost.
