EDUCATOR/WEB MANAGER
Headley-Whitney Museum, Lexington, Ky.

The Headley-Whitney Museum is seeking a full-time Educator/Web Manager responsible for developing and running educational programs for students of all ages including adult jewelry/decorative art workshops, children’s summer craft workshops and the Improbable Baubles Faux Bibelot Middle School Competition. The Educator/Web Manager also comes up with new workshop ideas, schedules group tours, assists with the volunteer program and conducts educational outreach and in-school programs. The Educator/Web Manager is also responsible for keeping the website up-to-date using Dreamweaver, sending out e-newsletters using Vertical Response and helping to maintain the social media presence of the museum. In addition, the Educator/Web Manager is a key member of the small staff in assisting with the day-to-day running of the Museum such as giving tours, answering phones and assisting at the front desk. Full-time, exempt position with some evening and weekend hours required. Job requirements: a Bachelors degree and 2-3 years experience in educational programming; excellent written and verbal communication skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, Dreamweaver and Photoshop; ability to work independently, proactively, and as part of a team.
