The Kentucky Arts Council will celebrate Kentucky Writers’ Day beginning at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 24th in the Capitol Rotunda with a special program that combines the readings of Kentucky poets laureate Jane Gentry Vance, Joe Survant, James Baker Hall, and Richard Taylor, with high-school student performances by the Kentucky state finals winner and runner-up of the Poetry Out-Loud National Recitation Contest. A reception will follow in the Capitol Mezzanine.
