ARTIST'S STATEMENT

"I am interested in how hard it is to see the familiar, or, not to bring the familiar to meet the unknown,"  --Lavinia Greenlaw

These drawings are an exploration of the processes of making, with attention to surface, materiality and the transformative aspects of scale. The images intend to question the recollection of experience and the relative nature of perception.
