Applications are open for New Arts Education Grant Program

Library

The Kentucky Arts Council is now accepting applications for the new Creative Chapters Library Program Grant.

The Creative Chapters Library Program (CCLP) Grant enables public libraries to implement artist residencies in their year-round schedules. Librarians and artists work in partnership to design and implement the residencies. Proposed residencies may be focused on a specific artistic discipline or explore educational pairings such as dance integrated into a reading campaign, storytelling integrated into a relevant historical/commemorative event, a painting class that connects to environmental awareness, or a writing residency combined with an author study. Residencies are presented by professional artists from the Kentucky Arts Council’s Teaching Artists Directory

The deadline to apply is Nov. 30 at 5 p.m. Eastern. Prospective applicants are strongly encouraged to read the full application guidelines before applying.

Applicants with additional questions should contact Cynthia Warner, arts education director, via email at [email protected]  or by phone at 502-782-4982.
