The Kentucky Arts Council is now accepting applications for the Teaching Art Together program. Educators interested in hosting a teaching artist in their classroom during the 2026-27 school year are encouraged to apply. There is no match requirement, and the deadline to apply is Sept. 1, 2026.
With the Teaching Art Together grant, teachers can implement one- to ten-day teaching artist residencies in their PreK-12th-grade classrooms. Teachers and artists work in partnership to design and implement the residencies, which are presented by professional artists from the Kentucky Arts Council’s Teaching Artists Directory. Residencies may focus on a specific artistic discipline or explore cross-curricular pairings, such as dance integrated into a math curriculum or new media integrated into a science curriculum. See the program guidelines to learn more.
Important Dates:

- Use of grant funds may begin: October 1, 2026
- Use of grant funds must conclude: May 28, 2027
