Creative Industry Summit Series: Staying Creative, Staying Compliant: Legal Essentials for Arts Organizations
The Kentucky Arts Council will host a free webinar on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, 11 a.m. Eastern. Staying Creative, Staying Compliant: Legal Essentials for Arts Organizations examines essential considerations such as organizational structure, governance responsibilities, tax and reporting requirements, fundraising compliance, conflicts of interest, and recordkeeping. Participants will learn about common compliance gaps that can create liability, jeopardize tax-exempt status, or disrupt an organization’s work. Through practical examples and plain-language guidance, the workshop will help arts leaders identify applicable legal requirements and develop sustainable compliance practices.
